Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office

Sheriff Mark A. Moore took office on January 1, 2009. Sheriff Moore has over thirty years of law enforcement experience. He is a graduate of the FBI Academy.

The Sheriff’s Office is located at the Cecil A. Moore Law Enforcement Center in Washington, GA. The Law Enforcement Center is named for Sheriff Moore’s father, Cecil A. Moore who was a long time Sheriff of Wilkes County.

The Cecil A. Moore Law Enforcement Center houses the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center.
