Criminal History

• The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office will conduct criminal history (background) checks. They are only conducted during normal business hours Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). There is a mandatory fee of $20.00 to conduct the criminal history. Call for more information.

Drivers History

• The Sheriff’s Office does not run driver’s histories for individuals. Please contact the Georgia Department of Drivers Services.

Gun Permits

• Gun Permits are issued through the Wilkes County Probate Court. Please contact that office at telephone number 706-678-2523.
